It would be great to create a template for this or use Jira Automation so that anytime a digital asset is created, these questions prepopulate.
The Digital Graphic questions that a designer will always have:
What is the purpose of the graphic? Who is the business line we are serving? Where will the graphic be used?
What are the specs?
What format does this need to be in - PDF, JPG, vector format?
Is this going to be printed? If so, does this mean it should be in Pantone? CMYK?
What are the mandatory elements that need to absolutely be in the graphic?
Is there copy that needs to be in the graphic? Has copy been created? Does it need to be?
When is the deadline?
What references can you provide of graphics done in the past for the same project or topic? Are there any visual references you can provide to give us a feel of what the client may want? (can include website inspiration and outside sources)
Any Task or Story, or Initiative (Epics, too)
Naming convention for subtasks and tasks linked to epics should be:
[TODO] - BUSINESS UNIT: [CAMPAIGN OR LINKED TASK] [DATE OF DROP] (date of drop if applicable, if not, leave out.)
Example: Create Article - CDAP: VM20 Comprehensive Email 3 090820
Another example:Write Up Copy - CDAP: VM20 Platform Leaderboard
Naming convention for tasks, epics and stories that are unlinked or their own thing:
BUSINESS UNIT: [CAMPAIGN] [ITEM] [DATE OF DROP] (date of drop if applicable, if not, leave out.)
Example:CDAP: VM20 Attendees
Another example: CDAF: CDA Cares Clinic 2020

Brief/Background:
1 paragraph descriptions, current situation & product needed
Purpose:
What is the primary audience, what are the main challenges and objectives that the business unit is facing?
Include goals, expectations, and objectives.
Why is this necessary?
Who is the business unit or audience for this piece? Is it speakers? Exhibitors? M&C? Internal?
Who is the main contact person for this piece? Who are the Main People That Have to Review? (This question is more for the Marketing Specialist/Coordinator/Manager etc for routing)
Deliverables:
Any CTAs, required text, and mandatory elements, including specs and sizing
Any file formats? (PNG, JPEG, PDF)
Schedule:
Deadline, in-hand date, external review dates, internal review dates, production schedule
It helps to create a timeline here
Reference:
What Resources Can You Provide? Has this been done in the past?
Add links to all supporting documents or references (include document paths)
Also add any inspiration or items that the client may have sent to drive along with the purpose/question.
Always be sure to include date/year in epics/stories.
