All gated content on the website is only available to end-users who are active policyholders. Policyholder status is validated at sign-up in AMP and is regularly validated in B2C through a connection to UAA/Guidewire. When an end-user registers for an account on the website, they will go through the AMP B2C and Policyholder status verification process. This will require the user to be an active policyholder to get back to the website. This creates a limitation for Staff and Component Staff that TDIC/CDA would like to grant access to gated content. We’ve therefore implemented a few processes that allow us to work around the gated content access requirements.

DNN Role - Internal

A new role group in DNN has been created that will not sync with B2C when a user logs in. This allows us to assign users to these roles and allows the user to log in using the typical user login flow (B2C). Within this role group, we will be able to store a variety of roles related to other functionality, like site administrators who can edit the website. For this purpose we will specifically look at access to gated content. Access to gated content for TDIC Staff and Component Staff is made available by assigning users to the role Staff-Component. Once a user is assigned to this role, they will be able to access gated content typically reserved for active policyholders.
