TDIC Technical PM/ Business Analyst

Note: Some of these functions may be handled in collaboration with existing team members. Items below do not necessarily need to be a specific person/role, but are integral to the project overall.

Overview of PM/BA Needs:

  • PM: Create a plan for the website rebuild project from start to finish and track milestones and deliverables across project phases.

  • BA: Requirements elicitation management, feature prioritization, testing and validation, and ensuring efficient communication throughout the project lifecycle.

Key support areas:

Planning

  • Develop comprehensive project plans that merge customer requirements with company goals and coordinate project phases, from initial development through implementation.

  • Determine and define clear deliverables, roles and responsibilities for project team members

Strategy / Requirements

  • Use data analytics to evaluate and understand the current state of the TDIC website and identify areas for improvement (technical and processes). Make recommendations based on a balance between what’s technologically feasible and financially and functionally reasonable.

  • Work with stakeholders to identify, prioritize and document technical and functional requirements.

Documentation

  • Maintain centralized project documentation throughout the project lifecycle, including project plan, formal change management log, and requirements.

Project Tracking

  • Monitor project progress continuously and send reports on measurable items, such as milestones and deliverables.

  • Review proposed modifications on project plans, including meeting with interested parties to approve and implement beneficial changes.

Project Meetings & Communications

  • Hold regular technical team meetings to determine progress and address any questions or challenges regarding projects

  • Serve as liasion between steering committee, vendors, and project team members and structure project phases to maximize resources and efficiency.

  • Communicate proactively with all involved personnel to provide encouragement, identify problems, and create solutions.

  • Deliver data-driven recommendations and reports to executives and stakeholders.

Testing and Validation

  • Help with writing test cases and documenting a formal procedure for testing and validation of features/functionality

  • Route features for stakeholder review and assist in translating and prioritizing their feedback into actionable items for the development team

Launch Facilitation

  • Coordinate launch activities across vendors/internal project team members

  • Ensure smooth and efficient launch process and effective communication throughout

Closure and Retrospective

  • Review project plan after website launch and ensure all deliverables were met and project can be closed out

  • Prepare “phase 2” recommendations for work that should be completed post-launch

  • Facilitate project retrospective meeting with necessary team members and stakeholders

Deliverables:

  • Project plan, including timeline, milestones, budget, and work breakdown structure

  • Project charter

  • Schedule and agendas for regular steering committee and project team meetings

  • Functional and business requirements

  • User Acceptance Testing plan

  • Website launch plan

Daily Support:

On a daily or weekly basis, tasks could include:

  • Track project budget, timeline and milestones and ensure our activities are on track; update the project plan as needed

  • Help the project team prioritize technical issues

  • Manage change requests and communicate impact to relevant stakeholders as needed

  • Gather critical information from meetings and create reports to keep everyone updated

  • Help stakeholders test out website features/functionality and provide meaningful feedback to the development team
